Last Sunday four of our boys, Atticus Heaven, Finn Graham, Archie Campbell and Harry Moxham were at Newport beach training with their Lindfield U/16 Rugby side. Also at the beach was the Lindfield U/10 side. At the conclusion of training, the U/10 boys went in for a surf and a few of them ended up being taken out in a rip. Seeing their sons in danger two of the fathers of the U/10 boys went into save them and also ended up in trouble. On seeing the dangerous situation which had arisen, Atticus, Finn, Archie and Harry went in and brought their younger mates as well as the fathers into safety. Archie in particular had to calm down and passify one of the fathers who was in distress and needed medical assistance once the boys returned him to shore. A very brave and selfless effort by all four boys and they were rightly honoured and applauded at today’s Headmaster’s Assembly.
