Century to Will Coffey in First XI Cricket

In a wonderful achievement, Will Coffey scored his first ever century last Saturday in the 1st XI cricket game against Sydney Grammar at Weigall Oval.
In a great batting display, Will scored 127 runs in 163 minutes. His knock included three “6’s” and fifteen “4’s”. He was also part of 79 and 80 run partnerships with Drew Sellers (Y11) and Hugh Bokenham (Y11) respectively. Ben Jones also scored 16 runs while Adrian Dawson (2 wickets), Harry Snell (1 wicket) and George Martin (1 wicket) performed well with the ball.
Joeys scored 7/251 in their 50 overs and bowled Grammar out for 222 runs to win the game by 29 runs.
In 2nd XI, Quinlan McMahon excelled with the bat to top score with 42 runs. He was well supported by Oliver Moraitis who scored 30 runs not out and also took a wicket. Joeys scored 7/168 off their 50 overs while Grammar chased down the total with 6 wickets still in hand.
