The first round of the GPS Basketball Competition commences this week against Shore. We wish all boys every success and enjoyment for the season. Congratulations to Jesse Grant, Matthew Ryan and Jordan Sedergreen who have been selected in the College 2nd V Team, good luck for Saturday boys.

Last Friday the boys were magnificent in the mature manner and caring nature they hosted the children from Giant Steps. The pictures tell the story and it was a wonderful day for our special guests, as well as our boys.

From Wednesday’s Swimming Carnival congratulations to the following boys on their respective Age Champion results – Kane Rodwell – U/15 Age Champion. Ben Brooks – 2nd place U/16 Age Champion. Ben Wood – 3rd place U/16 Age Champion.

At our Assembly today the boys selected to represent the College in the 1st and 2nd Tennis Teams were presented with their Tennis Shirts. Congratulations to the following boys who have been chosen in the 1st Tennis side this season – Liam Allan, Duncan Cahill, Nicholas Davies, Jason O’Keefe, Liam Seeto and William Sidgreaves.

We wish them every success and enjoyment for the season ahead.

Alex Demetriou, Daniel Gibbons and Oliver Sidgreaves were selected to represent the College in the 2nd Tennis team. We congratulate them and wish them every success and enjoyment for their upcoming season.

Congratulations to our Australian History Award winners, being presented at today’s Assembly.

Daniel Gibbons gave a very interesting presentation at our Assembly today of the Japanese Tour which a number of our boys went on last holidays. He did a tremendous job as usual.

Plenty of keen and interested punters. Not too many collected, however!

Today the boys listened to a presentation from the NSW Police Force on White Ribbon Day and actions of domestic violence, especially towards women.

Always terrific to see the boys make good use of their free time. Last Sunday 22 of the boys staying in organised a very social game of cricket and Mr Cameron Black was on hand to umpire. Plenty of laughs and a general good time was had by all.

Last Sunday, boys chosen to look after our Yr.7 and Yr.8 2018 groups at Colo were put through their First aid Course at the College. All reportedly passed very comfortably.

Last Friday the Yr-10 Agriculture class visited Family Fresh Farms and Barden Hydroponics at Peats Ridge, just inland from Gosford. Both were very “eye-opening” and Family Fresh Farms is owned by Gerry Harvey and is practising very modern and interesting pest control management techniques.
The boys had an enjoyable and informative day.
