Sport this Weekend

1. The boys are to wear their full College tracksuit to Knox on Saturday.
2. Rugby at Knox and Sydney Grammar. Soccer at Sydney Grammar
3. The 13A Soccer side will not be travelling to Knox. They have a bus that returns to Joeys sometime around 4pm and can be picked up from then. Everyone else is expected to be at Knox to watch the First XV. As always, you can pick your son up at Knox after the match.

Ground Locations:
• Gillespie Fields are those for Knox College. They are not on the College Campus and are found at Bangalla St, Warrawee. Buses will transport boys from these grounds to Knox College for the First XV match
• Weigall Fields are found on Neild Avenue, Rushcutters Bay. These are the Sydney Grammar sporting fields http://www.sydgram.nsw.edu.au/files/Weigall_Sports_Ground_Winter.pdf
• Rushcutters Bay Field is off New South Head Road, Rushcutters Bay

Year 7 Dinner Friday June 1

Tomorrow night the boys have been asked to do the following:

1. Wear greys to school
2. Pack BLUES and sport/casual clothes (if not in their press). They will have free time or sport training from 3.30-5 so getting out of their greys and into sports/casual clothes is recommended.
3. Showers at 5pm in the dorms and get dressed into their BLUES
4. We will meet you all down at the Hall from 6.15pm. If you could avoid coming up to the dorms before this it would be appreciated as it will be pretty full on up there.
5. The dinner will finish around 10pm. I have asked that there are no overnights for Boarders as it is pretty tricky to administer and with it already being a late night it becomes somewhat difficult for the staff on duty in the dorms after the event

Sport This Weekend

Please take close note of the travel times and ground locations. BC oval is not Barker College Oval it is in fact at Oakhill. Those Rugby teams who play Oakhill, play at their College grounds and then catch a bus at the allocated time to Barker College. All boys will then watch the First XV at Barker College. The bus that leaves Oakhill at 3.15pm will get to Barker in time for the boys to watch the second half.

All football matches are at Newington College and the Buchanan grounds are within the Newington grounds. The 13C’s Football have an early game so they will then return to Joeys before going out to Barker College in the afternoon.

In regards to the lunches, cut lunch means that the boys coach/manager is to take a packed lunch to the game which can be distributed after their match. Food van means that food is provided for the boys at Barker College. They just need to go to the Joeys food van to collect this.

Please remember to touch base with your sons coach/sport convenor in regards to injuries and absences from their matches. This contact information has been listed on this blog a few times.

As discussed with the boys, they are to wear their College tracksuit to the First XV this Saturday.
