National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence

Today is the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. For the last few days Year 9 boys have been joined by Year 12 boys to talk about bullying during their pastoral class each day. The boys have discussed the differences between bullying and banter, shared examples of bullying they have witnessed and discussed strategies for dealing with bullying, looking after their mates and much more.

Yesterday at assembly Julian Heaven, a Year 12 student, spoke to the whole school about what it means to be a Joeys boy and the importance of not accepting bullying. You can see the video of his speech here:
