During the holidays Cooper Portlock competed at the Australian Age Swimming Championships in Adelaide. This is an event for which Cooper had to qualify to attend and he was competing against the best swimmers in the country.
Cooper competed in 10 events during the meet. Highlights of his events included:
6th in Boys 15 years 200m backstroke
3rd in Boys 14-17 years 4x100m medley
