Dear Parents, Carers and Grandparents,
At the beginning of next term we will commence the final exams for Year 12 with the HSC beginning on Wednesday 12 October. We are in need of volunteers to act as Readers and/or Writers for students who have been approved for Disability Provisions. Early next term we will also put out requests for help with the Year 7 & 8 exams (10-16 November) and Year 9 & 10 exams (21 November – 6 December).
To streamline the organisation of volunteers, we now have an electronic sign-up system which allows you to choose the days, times and subjects when you are able to assist. It is hoped that this will make it easier for all. Included in the system is some information about the duties of Readers and Writers and the option to choose the type of support you are comfortable giving. Should circumstances change you are able to alter your preferences and we will be notified by email.
Once schedules are confirmed, we will arrange to send further information, including a short video which provides more detailed information on the practicalities of acting as a support person during exams.
