Swimming carnival

On 7 November we had our first full school swimming carnival since 2019. This time it was in our new pool. A number of Year 10 boys generously helped with timekeeping all day.

Cooper Portlock set 3 new College records in a fantastic performance throughout the day:

• 55.94 in 16 Years 100m Freestyle Championship (previous: S. Pietriche, 2005 & H. Holgate, 2009 – 56.61).
• 2:04.81 in Intermediate 200m Freestyle Championship (previous: G. Durie, 2021 – 2:09.46).
• 27.30 in 16 Years 50m Butterfly Championship (previous: R Warmoll, 2001 – 27.84).

Year 10 students were involved in both the Under 15 and Under 16 points competitions and the winners are listed below.

15 Years

1^st: William MacKay – 110 points

2^nd: Angus Ciesiolka – 106 points

3^rd: Jonty Fowler – 68 points

16 Years

1^st: Cooper Portlock – 116 points

2^nd: Gordon Durie – 106 points

3^rd: Rohan Martinus – 80 points
