Benji Sestanovic (Y12) and Will McCarthy (Y11) attended the Plain English Speaking Competition local final at Hunters Hill High School. This is the first time that we have entered students into this competition and fortunately Benji made it through to the next round. This competition involves an 8-minute prepared speech and a 3- minute impromptu speech, making it a very challenging task for the boys to compete in.
The first debating team (Will McCarthy, Benji Sestanovic and John Toohey) competed in the Octo’s round of the Independent Schools Debating Competition. The debate was close, and we took the win! We will be debating against Riverview in the quarter finals next week.
