Last Thursday at the Headmaster’s Assembly the First Debating were presented to the school ahead of their first competition debate on Friday night. Benjamin Sestanovic is the captain of the First Debating, supported by William McCarthy (Y11) and John Toohey (Y10). Jarrod Dominsh was selected in the 2nd Debating.
Some sport awards were also presented:

Patrick Broe, Rugby, NSW Schoolboys I, GPS 2nd XV. Patrick was also selected for the Australian Schoolboys who will play against the Tongan Barbarians later this year.
Max McGavern was selected in the final 26 to represent the Canadian u18 Rugby team to travel to Amsterdam in the July holidays where they played international games v The Netherlands, USA and Belgium. Max started every game on the wing.
Finally, Xavier Thomas performed “Dean Town” on electric bass (video below, apologies audio comes in after a few seonds).
