On Saturday night, just after we had ordered $350 worth of Domino’s pizza for the year, a large part of Sydney lost power due to an approaching storm. A quick raid of the kitchen netted some steaks, bacon and eggs for dinner which the boys cooked on the gas BBQs in the dark and rain and wind using torches and emergency lights. The picture doesn’t really do justice to how dark it was. Power was restored 2 hours later.
