Last Friday evening the First Debating team competed in the quarter finals of the ISDA Competition against Riverview. The motion was ‘that we should have a quota for domestic content on streaming services’ and Joeys was negative. It was a complicated and narrow debate, but we managed to win! This is the first time that Joeys has made it through to the semi- finals in the ISDA Debating Competition.
We wish the team, John Toohey, Will McCarthy and Benji Sestanovic, the best of luck in the semi- finals this week against St Aloysius.
