There were a number of awards and presentations at the Headmaster’s Assembly including Year 12 Academic Application awards, Athletics awards, Honour Blazer presentations, 1st and 2nd XI Football teams and 3rd XV rugby team. The assembly concluded with a musical performance from Matthew Duncan. Photos are at the bottom of this post.

After the presentation of those awards, Alex Roche spoke to the school body about how he discovered the benefits of studying drama and the pleasure and success that it has given him in his senior years.
The Age Champions from the recent College Athletics Carnival were then recognised. For Year 12 these were the Opens Age Group:
First: Oliver Neate, 101 points
Second: Max Merifield, 71 points
Third: Daniel Zubani, 58 points
Oliver Neate was also recognised for his 7th place in the U18 800m event at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships. Oliver also competed in the 1500m at the same event.

The 1st XI Football were presented on stage ahead of their first GPS competition match on the coming Saturday. The 2nd XI Football and 3rd XV Rugby were also announced ahead of their first GPS competition games on the weekend.
For the musical item,Matthew Duncan performed “Libertango” by Astor Piazolla.
