Year 9 Drama are embarking on their first unit of work: ‘The Actor’s Tools’. They are learning and performing in the Drama Studio, recording and reflecting on their learning in the Drama log book and beginning to take the journey to feeling confident on stage. Exercises in stage geography, focus, trust, voice projection and physicality for the stage, mime and improvisation are underway as we prepare the boys for their collaborative and creative journey in this part of the performing arts here at St Joseph’s College. Most importantly they are creating a safe, trusting learning environment where they make take risks in front of audiences and grow as a performer and young man in the process.
