The Hardest Part of Year 12

by | 27 July

The next 5 – 6 weeks are probably the hardest part of Year 12 for the boys. This is because they are continuing to learn new content in class as well as preparing for their Trial HSC exams. Then, the exams themselves are spread over 9 days as opposed to 4 weeks for the actual HSC exams – meaning they have all their exams in a relatively short period of time. On top of this, major works are due and Joeys sport will be finishing for the vast majority of boys – there is a lot for them to juggle. As always, Mick and I are encouraging the boys to “do the little things right” and maintain a consistent and balanced approach to both their study and cocurricular activities. This allows them to get through this period as smoothly as possible. As our Trial exams start the week after the end of winter sport and the Winter Sports Rally and dinners, there will be a structured study day on Monday August 19 to help the boys prepare well for the exams. Please see attached the information given to the boys and key points to help them stay on track during this period.
