It is really important that the boys put a significant amount of time into study over the October break if they are to achieve to their potential in the HSC. As you would be aware, for most subjects, the boys have 50% of marks still available to them. They need to be undertaking three study periods of 1.5-2 hours most days of the week. I have included below, information given to the boys about holiday study – key points, an example of a study day and how to rotate their study periods. All boys have been sent a Study Planner Document in Word format which allows them to enter their own subjects and what they will cover each study period. There is no doubt that consistent and effective study over the two weeks of the break and throughout the HSC block can have a large positive impact on their final results.
