Last Christmas holidays our 1st XI Cricket team won the annual Marist Colleges Carnival in Auckland. Congratulations to Will Coffey and Will Maffey who were in the victorious side and Will for receiving the award for Player of the Carnival.

Yesterday we farewelled Nadia Nassiff who retired after 40 years of working in the various Year Group Dining Halls. Nadia has been working in Yr.10 this year, she treats each boy as though he is her son, and she is a wonderful example to us all of someone so positive, caring and one who loves her work. We wish her every happiness in her well earnt retirement. Jerome Kandalaft had the honour of being the last Joeys boys to receive a meal from Nadia.

Sunday evening Mass is a special occasion, we are very fortunate to have a wonderful Chaplin, Fr. Gavin Foster guiding our faith development. Commencing at 8:15pm, please feel most welcome to attend with your sons, whenever you can.

A fitting farewell to a wonderful man and Marist Brother, Benet Bourke.

Wednesday morning Mass is popular with the boys and staff. Commencing at 8.10am, Fr. Gavin does a great job condensing the service and at this week’s Mass, Thomas Mah Chut added his musical talent on the piano most beautifully for the benefit of all present.

Boys have been studying very well, we have been most impressed with their application to their homework.
