WELCOME AYUSH MANGALI.
We were very delighted to welcome Ayush into the Year group this week. Ayush is a delightful young man and his genuine, easy going and respectful nature have seen him fit in most easily with the other boys. Whilst he is staying with Louise and Robert McEwen, if any families are able to host Ayush for a Saturday evening that would be greatly appreciated. Ayush is pictured below with Joe Carrigan, Ben Dalton, Matt Jarjoura and Liam O’Connell.

ST.HENRY’S EXCHANGE.
We wish Hamish Campbell and Joey McEwen a safe and wonderful experience for their upcoming exchange to St. Henry’s Durban. It is certainly a tremendous opportunity for the both of them. In exchange we will be hosting Ayush Mangali and he will be based with Louise and Rob McEwen. If any of you are free and happy to host Ayush for a weekend at all next term please let me know and I will arrange things with Louise and Rob.

A wonderful opportunity for all the boys going and we wish our Yr.10 boys Tyler Banducci, Lachlan Kershaw-Domingo, Michael Murphy, Luca Schmitt and Felix Spronk-O’Callaghan every success and enjoyment for the trip and look forward to their stories next term.
SYNAPSE
For those of you who are new to the College, Synapse is our annual academic competition. Eighteen boys from each year group are selected to participate based on their academic prowess. However, their success will very much depend on their ability to work collaboratively, problem solve and explore new perspectives.
This year the boys will compete in teams of six on challenges in Art and Poetry, Mathematics, Ideation, Engineering, Storytelling and Creative Producers, with extra points gained for success in General Knowledge and Spatial Awareness.

Yr.10 JAPANESE DINNER
The following are photos of the Japanese Speaking assessment task held last Tuesday at Daruma Japanese Restaurant in the city. The boys were exceptional. They had prepared so well and thoroughly impressed the restaurant staff and me with their fluency and confidence not to mention their appetites. The boys were required to have conversations in Japanese with each other about the menu and their choices, then order in Japanese, then chat in Japanese about their impression of meal after it arrived. Thanks to Mrs Sue Xouris for the pictures and information as well as teaching our boys!
