For the last two weeks, Year 7 boys have been partaking in Collaborative Learning during the second session of study. This involves group work and peer discussion. While it is a learning curve and there is plenty of room for improvement, the boys are working wonderfully at this and are really enjoying learning in the process. They are ‘learning how to learn’ and are already guiding each other into deep conversations. They have learnt some new strategies and are starting to implement these across a range of subject areas. It has brilliant to see and hear the boys solve problems together and help one another in the completion of school work. The image below is what we have been using to introduce the concept to the boys.
