Year 7 Boys at the Headmasters Assembly

Each year, two Year 7 boys speak at the Headmasters Assembly to share their thoughts on the first few weeks of life here at Joeys. Today Harry Rodgers and Riley Quinn spoke and did a wonderful job. Harry shared his perspective on being a Full Boarder while Riley discussed being a Day Student here at Joeys. Both boys spoke exceptionally well and gave the audience a wonderful insight into the first few weeks for a boy in Year 7.

Year 7 PDHPE Incursion

Last Friday the year 7 boys went to park for two periods to partake in the PDHPE Incursion. The boys participated in sprints, high jump, long jump, shot put and many more activities.

Vaccinations 2018

Apologies but the dates given last week for the Vaccinations are incorrect. The dates below are correct.

March 21 – HPV 1 and Dtpa

October 31 – HPV 2

All Schools Triathlon

Congratulations to Max (run), Oliver (bike) and Oscar (swim) who each completed a leg of the Triathlon today. Well done boys a fine achievement!

Buddy Event

Next Wednesday, March 7, Year 7 and their Year 12 buddies will attend a short mass together. The mass will be held in the College Chapel and will begin at 8.10am. It will finish at 8.30am in time for the boys to go to class.

It is an early start and I totally understand that this may be difficult for some to attend on time. If your son could just enter the Chapel as soon as he can after he arrives that would be appreciated.

The boys do not need to wear their Blues for this. This should be a nice opportunity for their boys and their buddy to reconnect and to pray together during our most important liturgical season of Lent.
