Peer Tutoring sessions continue in Term 4 2012

The Mathematics department are continuing their initiative to help students who are having difficulties with their Mathematics in Term 4. Running the program will be the 2012 Year 11 Accelerated class who will sit their HSC examinations for Mathematics and Extension One during the Term. The tutoring sessions are run from 8am in room 211 and we would like to encourage all parents to speak to their son’s about attending a session.

St Joseph’s College Mathematics Department has a very distinguished history. Some well known and dedicated teachers have taught the students over the years including Br Ligouri, Br Bede and more recently Mr Tony Lantry and Mrs Katina Sweeting. Mathematics students at Joeys have gone onto distinguished careers involving Mathematics and this tradition is continuing today. The Mathematics Department currently consists of 14 full time teachers as well as Mrs Di Fazio who works 3 days per week helping students with individual needs.
