Joeys Parents and Friends

P&F Meetings:

are held on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Boardroom (which is to the left of the marble stairs leading up to the chapel). All parents are welcome as they are an excellent way to learn about the life of the College and to get involved. Ross Tarlinton, Headmaster, kindly attends and light refreshments are served if you are arriving straight from work.

The remaining dates for 2011 are:

• Term 2: 11 May, 15 June
• Term 3: 3 August
• Term 4: 19 October, 16 November (AGM)
• ‘Thankyou Drinks’ for all who supported the P&F in 2011: Sunday, 27 November, 5-8pm.

Rowing Dates:

• 2 April – Head of the River Bus
• 29 October (to be confirmed) – Rowing Season Launch Cocktail Party

Mothers and Friends Meetings:

• Term 2: Tuesday, 3 May
• Term 3: Tuesday, 19 July
• Term 4: Friday, 21 October

Joint Riverview/Joeys Mother’s Lunch:

Continuing a tradition of  Joeys and Riverview mothers and grandmothers getting together for lunch, the P&F from both schools will host  lunch at a local restaurant on Friday, 16 September. Further details closer to the date.

Year 7 Social Calendar

Term 1

7 April                  12 noon                               Lunch @ Hunters Hill Hotel

Mums & Dads are welcome to join us for a casual lunch on the upstairs balcony @ the HHH before picking up the boys for their well deserved Easter break.  No RSVP necessary

30 April                                                               Rugby Match    Waratahs v Rebels      Sydney

28 May                                                                 Canteen Duty

Joeys P & F allocate a year group for each home game and 28 May is our day.  Any volunteers to serve in the main oval canteens would be greatly appreciated.  1 to 2 hour shifts are all that is needed. Contact lgarrick@optusnet.com.au

28 May                                                                 Year 7 Dinner

A lovely introduction to the school.  Parents sit with their son’s, enjoy a meal and meet the boys new friends in the Br Emilian Hall.  Details and formal invitation to follow.

Term  4

21 October         10.45 am                             Mothers & Friends meeting

The Mothers & Friends meeting is a great way of catching up with friends and finding out what is happening in and around the College.  Year 7 are rostered on to ‘bring a plate’ for morning tea in The Parlour.  

6 December       6.30 pm                               Hunters Hill Club  – Christmas Drinks & Dinner

Dinner and Drinks to celebrate our first year at joeys.  Details to follow later in the year.
