Academic News week 4

Dear Parents,
We are fast approaching the half yearly examinations. I have been emphasising with the boys the importance of effective study habits. Whilst on boarding supervision this week I had the opportunity to talk to numerous students about their preparation for these examinations. Many boys are feeling confident, but there are also many who feel a little lost. I discussed with these boys the importance of effective study. As you are aware from my newsletters last year, I am a strong believer of employing study strategies that mirror examination conditions. The boys should be completing as many past papers as they can get their hands on. I am yet to see an examination that only requires reading, so why constantly study this way? Boys need to study with a pen in their hand.

There are no assessment tasks due in week 6 due to half yearly examinations commencing in week 7.
