Throughout the week, Peter Ross and I have asked the boys to challenge themselves this term. We have asked them to start the term positively and set themselves goals in which they can achieve (we will follow up on this in Pastoral Care groups in weeks 2 and 3). This was further reinforced at the Headmasters Assembly this morning where Mr. Tarlinton and Br Anthony Boyd asked the boys to start the term positively in the classroom, on the sporting field and in their social interactions with their peers. Mr Bookalil then spoke to the students about perseverance and grit in applying themselves to their studies. I think these two concepts in particular could certainly be embraced by the Year 7 boys in regards to all aspects of College life. You may also wish to have this discussion with your son over the coming days.
