Dear Year 10 Parents and Carers,
You would have received information on the Allwell Educational Diagnostic Assessment process recently from Mr Mark Williams (Dean of Studies). This series of tests will gauge your son(s) current academic strengths, personal interests, possible career aspirations and areas of study he is interested in pursuing. The aim of this testing procedure is to help provide detailed information on each Year 10 student which can then be used to assist in the appropriate selection of senior subjects for Years 11-12 and potentail career pathways, and hopefully assist you and your son in this decision making process.
This Wednesday 16th March during Periods 1-5, the boys will sit a series of tests in the Br. Emilian Hall. They will require either a blue or black pen and a calculator. Period 6 will be a normal lesson.
The results of these diagnostic assessment tasks will then be mailed to you in time to assist in the appropriate selection of courses for Year 11. If you do not wish to have your son included in this diagnostic assessment please contact either Mr Lee MacMaster, Director of Teaching and Learning (9816 0945), Mr Mark Williams, Dean of Studies (9816 0888), or myself (9816 0889) as soon as possible.
Regards,
Fergus
