Where: BBQ Area near pool

Time: 12.48pm – 1.30pm

Cost: All Parents attending on the day are welcome to make a Donation of $10

Walk On for parents: All parents welcome to walk on to Woolwich Pier afterwards for lunch and refreshments – we have booked a Joeys area.

The details for the lunch are as follows:

  • Lunch will commence at 12.48pm and finish at 1.30 to ensure boys have time to get to their next class.
  • All parents/carers are invited to join your sons for a “whole year lunch” on the lawn.
  • No need to bring a thing…..Parent Reps will be providing lunch for the boys – we are going to do a sausage sizzle, chicken skewers, salads, ice creams, cakes, fruit and drinks.
  • NB the Year 9 REF (kitchen) will be closed so ALL BOYS are to attend even if their parents aren’t able to make it.
  • We would love it if some parents can make/bake cakes/slices to be served  after lunch.
  • We ask that all parents attending donate $10 to the kitty to help cover the cost of lunch – we will be passing around the hat on the day.
  • When the boys head back to class all parents are warmly invited to “Walk On” to the Woolwich Pier for a catch up.
  • We will have a few spare sausages on the BBQ for any parents unable to join us at the Woolwich Pier afterwards.

Look forward to catching up ………………if its wet we will still go ahead but maybe not on the lawn , we will update the location on the day.

Cakes / Slices :  Parents bringing cakes on the day please bring to the BBQ area.  A table will be available to place them on. Please ensure that the cakes are cut and ready to serve. If you need to drop them at school the day before please drop off to Mr Mick Blair.

Thanks Year 9 Parent Reps

Canteen roster

Click to sign up – Year 9 Roster for Shore game

Dear Families

Saturday July 23 is OUR YEAR 9 DAY to man the canteens for the Shore Home Game. As an added bonus we are also the Hosts at Jack’s bar after the game :))

It is really important that we get this roster filled because as you may or may not know the canteens are run wholly by parent volunteers.

Please find above the link to the roster.

I know a lot of you will be delaying signing up until you know what time your son/s are playing, but it’s really important we get this roster filled as soon as possible, so please sign up and if there’s a clash, see if you can do a swap with someone on the roster the week before.

Our year 9 parent group is known within the school as being one of the most active and helpful, so let’s keep the spirit going and do our best for a great day.

Looking forward to seeing as many of you in the canteen on the day and at Jack’s bar after the game – look for the number “9” balloon.

Thanks

City Country Mothers Luncheon: Friday 20 May 2016

SJC CITY/COUNTRY LUNCH 2016

Dear Parents and Friends of Joeys,

The Annual SJC City/Country Lunch is being held on Friday 20 May 2016, from 12 noon to 3pm, in the Br Emilian Hall. This year we are thrilled to be able to offer a reduced price ticket to ladies over the age of 60, so you may like to bring your mother along.

Tickets are on sale now, via SJC Online Shop.

  1. If you are buying tickets individually, please nominate your year group or with whom you would like to be seated (if you have a preference). I will try my best to accommodate everyone.
  2. If you are purchasing 10 tickets (a table), please email me the names of people to be seated at your table. There is a maximum of 10 per table.  E: laing@bigpond.com

For new families to Joeys, the City/Country Luncheon is a great opportunity to socialise with country mothers, grandmothers and friends. Each year we have a guest speaker who has had a long association with the College and it is always a moving and very special day in our life as mothers of Joeys boys.

So, come along!  If you don’t have a preference for a specific table, just indicate the year group to which your son(s) belong and I will do my best. For any other queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

As always we would love assistance setting up on the morning of this event. Please let me know if you are able to assist from around 10am.

Kind regards,

Lara Laing
